In middle of August, we had a variety of activities at the Educational Center of NPH Guatemala.

Monday, August 14th, we started the week with a presentation of our candidates of Miss NPH 2017-2018. The candidates demonstrated themselves in typical Guatemalan dresses, fantasy dresses and their most beautiful dress. All of our internal and external students were present and enjoyed the show on the walk of fame.

The follow day, the students elected democratically the lucky winners to become Miss NPH, one of Pre-Primary Montessori School, one of the Primary and one from of the Secondary School.

Wednesday continued with several activities in honor of the 11th anniversary of Father Wasson’s passing. Father Wasson’s vision has had a profound impact on all of our lives, on the lives of the many children in our care, and on those families in our nearby communities. His legacy lives on in all that we continue to strive for in our work. In the Educational Center, a rally was carried out with activities around the campus.

On Thursday we celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Educational Center NPH with our special guest, the founder of the School Prof. Julio Cesar Sirin, who established the school through the legal process. We had a cultural demonstration of our students with typical Guatemalan dances and the coronation of our Miss NPH 2017-2018 by the representatives of the school.

Friday started with a serenade of our marimba group followed by a breakfast with the entire educational community to strengthen us for a march to the park of San Andrés Itzapa, where we received the Olympic torch and ran back to the Educational Center. But that was just the warm-up for a soccer tournament with guest teams from other schools out of town. And this is how ended a great week of activities at NPH Guatemala!
